OpenWRT 1.0 RC6 IPv6 Howto

I read the IPv6 Howto over on the OpenWRT wiki. It’s got a lot of superfluous info in it, none of which relates to most US-based broadband users. Huh? Most US broadband customers have connections that are dynamic in nature, and do not use PPPoX or PPTP, but rather use DHCP on a standard Ethernet connection.

  • Vista Experimentation with EVDO

    Been doing some Vista testing. I was interested to see if it would be up to snuff as my PeeCee’s primary OS. My big worry was my Verizon EVDO card (the V640 ExpressCard). I hate the VZaccess software (clunky, slow, etc), so I was very happy to find these directions for using EVDO on Vista. The author was using a 5740 model card, but the directions worked just the same for my V640. Nice job.

    I can’t believe I just said “nice job” in conjunction with Windows. Yikes.
